Our Commitment

Conceptual Healthcare Corporation is committed to ensuring that NexusOrb is accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We design and develop our platform in accordance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, as required by ONC Health IT Certification criterion 170.315(g)(5).

Accessibility Features

Perceivable

  • All text meets WCAG AA minimum contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text) against our dark background
  • Status indicators use both color and text labels — never color alone
  • All images and icons have text alternatives
  • Content is resizable to 200% without loss of functionality
  • Animations respect prefers-reduced-motion system settings

Operable

  • All functionality is available via keyboard
  • Skip-to-content link on every page
  • Visible focus indicators (2px blue ring) on all interactive elements
  • No keyboard traps — Tab and Shift+Tab cycle through modals with proper focus management
  • Focus is moved to main content on page navigation
  • Minimum 44x44px touch targets on all interactive elements

Understandable

  • Consistent navigation patterns across all pages
  • Form fields have programmatic labels with htmlFor/id associations
  • Required fields marked with aria-required
  • Error messages are announced to assistive technologies via role="alert" and aria-live
  • Plain language used throughout the interface

Robust

  • Semantic HTML5 elements: <main>, <nav>, <header>, <footer>
  • ARIA roles, states, and properties on all interactive widgets
  • Modals use role="dialog" with aria-modal="true"
  • Tab bars use role="tablist" with aria-selected
  • Dynamic content updates use aria-live regions
